I just mailed off my handmade ornaments for a swap hosted by Sarah at Small Fox . In the spirit of reuse/recycle I used a pair of jeans that were pretty new but had a giant hole in the knee, cut them up and made tree's. I added vintage buttons and ribbon from my stash and made them pretty. I made some similar tree's last year and really liked them a lot. Over the long weekend, we put all the fall decor away and got out all the Christmas stuff. We had some pumpkins and squash on our front porch that they boys moved to the backyard, and a little while later we noticed something funny- the big pumpkin had a hole in it and there were pumpkin seeds all around it. We sat on the couch and waited patiently, and soon the perpetrator appeared. We had a blast yesterday watching the feeding frenzy. There are a ton of squirrels hanging around the yard now, but only one at a time at the pumpkin. They are chasing each other and going crazy!
